1) Scope of Services

ClearFlow Plumbing provides residential and commercial plumbing services including diagnostics, repair, installation, emergency response, and maintenance. We may subcontract licensed specialists when required. You authorize our team to perform the agreed scope at the service location you own, manage, or are legally permitted to authorize.

2) Estimates, Quotes, and Changes

We provide written or electronic estimates describing expected labour, materials, and taxes. Estimates are not binding where concealed conditions exist. Any deviation from the approved scope (including additional parts, code upgrades, or remediation of unforeseen issues) will be communicated for your approval before we proceed.

  • Time-and-material (T&M) jobs are billed by actual time spent and materials used.
  • Fixed-price quotes cover only the explicitly listed scope and exclusions.
  • Permit fees and inspections are billed at cost unless stated otherwise.

3) Appointments, Access, and Safety

You agree to provide safe, unobstructed access to fixtures, shutoff valves, and work areas. We may reschedule if unsafe conditions exist (e.g., mould, asbestos, electrical hazards). Pets should be secured. Parking fees, where applicable, may be added at cost.

4) Cancellations and Rescheduling

Cancellations should be made at least 24 hours in advance. Late cancellations or no-shows may incur a call-out fee. For special-order parts, a restocking or non-refundable supplier charge may apply if cancelled after ordering.

5) Payments and Invoicing

Payment is due upon completion unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept major cards and e-transfer; cheques by prior approval. For larger projects, milestone invoicing and deposits may be required.

  • Balances unpaid after 15 days may incur 2% monthly (24% annually) interest.
  • Ownership of supplied materials remains with ClearFlow Plumbing until paid in full.
  • Disputed charges must be reported within 7 days of invoice date.

6) Materials and Parts

We supply quality, code-compliant parts. Customer-supplied parts are installed at our discretion; we do not warrant fit, performance, or longevity of customer-supplied items and additional labour may be billed to adapt or correct compatibility issues.

7) Warranty

Workmanship warranty durations vary by service type. Manufacturer warranties apply to eligible parts. Warranty excludes misuse, neglect, chemical damage, freezing, normal wear, or issues caused by pre-existing conditions. See “Warranty Details” for specifics.

8) Limitations of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ClearFlow Plumbing is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, loss of use, loss of profit, or loss of data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the service giving rise to the claim.

We are not liable for pre-existing issues, hidden defects, or damages arising from conditions beyond our control (including but not limited to corroded piping, faulty wiring by others, municipal supply problems, building movement, or force majeure events).

9) Customer Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate information on symptoms, access, shutoffs, and prior work.
  • Protect adjacent finishes and belongings where reasonable; notify us of sensitivities.
  • Test systems after work completion and report issues within 48 hours.

10) Emergency Services

Emergency callouts may carry premium rates. Temporary stabilizations are not substitutes for full repairs; follow-up permanent work is billed separately.

11) Privacy and Data

We collect only necessary information to deliver services and billing. Basic device data may be used to improve our website experience. Cookie preferences can be managed via the cookie banner accessible from the page footer.

12) Photos and Documentation

We may document site conditions and completed work for records, warranty validation, safety, and training. We will not publish identifiable customer data without permission.

13) Compliance, Codes, and Permits

All work is performed in accordance with applicable codes and standards. Where permits or inspections are required, we will assist or obtain them as agreed. Failures due to non-permitted work by others or refused inspections outside our control are excluded.

14) Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Parties agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts located in Ontario, Canada.

15) Updates to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance.

16) Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.

Warranty Details

Our workmanship warranty durations depend on the service performed. Manufacturer warranties apply to parts as noted on invoices.

  • Drain clearing and snaking: 30-day functional warranty on the serviced line section.
  • Fixture replacements (taps, toilets, shower valves): 1-year workmanship warranty.
  • Pipe repairs (copper, PEX, PVC): 1-year workmanship warranty on repaired joints.
  • Water heater installs: 1-year workmanship; manufacturer’s tank or tankless warranty per product literature.
  • Exclusions: Customer-supplied parts, clogs due to foreign objects, scale buildup, pre-existing code violations, freezing, or chemical damage.
